How We Verify Every Single Contact
No copy-pasted phone books. Here's exactly how each contact ends up in our database.
The problem
Most backpacker job lists in Australia are a joke. They're just outdated phone book numbers that nobody bothered to check. You end up calling dead lines and wasting your time. We do the exact opposite.
Our 5-step verification process
1. Identification
We don't guess. We find employers through solid sources like Australian industry directories, state license registers, and the Traffic Management Association. We also map out areas on Google and take tips from mates on the road.
2. ABN Verification
Every business gets run through the Australian government's ABN register. If they aren't an active, registered company in the right industry, they don't make the list.
3. Cross-referencing
We check at least three different places before adding anyone. We look at their website, Google Maps, and recent social media. If they haven't shown signs of life recently, we drop them.
4. Contact verification
We test the actual emails and phone numbers. If an email bounces back or a number is disconnected, the contact is gone. We refuse to list a detail we can't confirm.
5. Ongoing updates
This isn't a dead PDF. Every contact shows exactly when it was last checked. If you find a bad number, hit the report button on their profile and we check it within 48 hours.
What we don't do
- We don't copy Yellow Pages and call it a database.
- We don't list businesses that have never hired backpackers.
- We don't promise you a job — we give you verified contacts so YOU can reach out.
- We don't sell your data or share it with recruiters.
The guarantee
If more than 20% of contacts in any category are outdated, we'll refund you. No questions asked. We're that confident in our verification process.
